this little market is always an amazing time, both as a seller and as a shopper. the amount of cool people that are brought together under one roof is astounding. plus, the owners are pretty sweet as well so that's a bonus.
i will be trekking over to the East Side of the state and setting up my little booth on the about once a month. i tried to make it work with being there every weekend but between travel and production, fabric cost and overhead, my head went a little spinny.
"like" Apparel Artistry on Facebook and I'll keep you up to date on when I'm gonna be there!!
i first launched my one-of-a-kind, adjustable clothing line at this festival in 2010. i had only a couple of torn up t-shirts with me and no idea of what i was in for. the festival changed me in ways i never expected and has become a very important part of my year.
i am aware of the controversy surrounding this festival and allow me to make myself clear. i support every person's right to feel safe and secure in their own bodies. i respect every person's right to believe as they wish. i believe that it is only through interacting with those that we do not understand that we can open our hearts and our minds to a new way of thinking. i cherish the space this festival has created and i wish to be able to share it with all of my female friends without fear. i do not believe that each "side" should fear the other, but come together in a respectful conversation with compassionate hearts. that is the only way to resolve conflict peaceably and preserve the sacredness of the space involved.
i am always open to respectful conversation regarding these issues, but please keep it to "private time". (i.e. the bazaar is a politics free zone). thank you for listening and i hope to see you at Fest!!
